For more than 110 years the Anglican Parish of St. John the Baptist has been a part of the downtown Duncan community. As we gather to worship & grow spiritually, we seek to serve & participate in the life of the community.

Almighty God ~ Giver of All Good Gifts

We Give Thanks
For Creation

God of unchangeable power,
when you fashioned the world,
the morning stars sang together &
the host of heaven shouted for joy;
open our eyes to the wonders of creation &
teach us to see all things for good,
 Amen.

From A New Zealand Prayer Book,
p. 569

We lift our prayer of thanksgiving to you
for the blessings & gifts seen & unseen.
We thank you
for the sun which courses across the sky
to remind us of the precious moments
that we are granted this day & every day.
Grant us the wisdom & vision
to see these days & moments as
the true gifts that they are;
guard us from being distracted
by the busyness of the day & the work before us,
that we might see the other beside us &
you who goes with us.
Bless us this day to be a blessing to others;
open our hearts
to go forth in love
as you have called & loved us first.
This we pray in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
