Bishop Anna Appoints Cathedral Canons

Congratulations to the Rev Canon Brenda Nestegaard Paul (Trinity Anglican + Lutheran, Port Alberni) and to the Rev Canon Eric Partridge (St Andrew, Sidney)! 

Each has accepted Bishop Anna's appointment and commission to be one of six canons of Christ Church Cathedral.

They will become members of the Cathedral Chapter, accorded a stall in the cathedral, and the dignity of the honorific “canon.”

Cathedral canons take an active interest in the affairs and mission of the cathedral.

As friends of the cathedral, the chapter promotes the cathedral’s role within the diocese.

Members may also advise on matters relating to care and maintenance of the cathedral precinct.
