In a letter of June 30th, Bishop Anna offered direction to parishes regarding continued easing of provincial restrictions on gatherings and public worship. 

The diocese will follow the following worship guidelines until further notice:

  1. Continued use of hand sanitizer/ wipes
  2. Greet only from a distance
  3. Outdoor services when possible
  4. Distancing except with family groups or established bubbles
  5. Share the Peace by non-contact methods, ie through smiling, nodding
  6. Communion in one kind
  7. Hymn-singing outdoors, or when masked and distanced indoors.

SINGING to be approached with caution as it is a HIGH-RISK activity.

    8. Socialize OUTDOORS with DISTANCING and with NO food/ beverage

Contact your parish incumbent or regional archdeacon. with any  questions about Phase 3 of reopening in the diocese.

(Effective July 1st, the province no longer has an order restricting the size of worship gatherings either indoors or outdoor.  However, mask-wearing while indoors is still encouraged, and outdoors continues to be the safest place for people to gather.)
